Extensions

Extensions are flat cut-outs that physically extend the design outside of the rectangular space on an advertising structure. The extra parts are created from a structural material, upon which adhesive vinyl (matching the material of the rectangular space) is affixed. The finished piece is mounted to the structure to create the appearance of one large shape. Local restrictions may vary, but extensions are available on bulletin inventory in most markets.

Pop-Outs

Pop-outs are flat cutouts made with an adhesive vinyl attached to a 3mm aluminum composite sheet. The pop-out is mounted off the structure using brackets and reinforced with custom framing for stability.

Spangles

Spangles are also known as paillettes, eyecatchers, flickers, or billboard sequins. They are freely oscillating, highly reflective, UV coated tiles mounted to a clear, square foot grid. In an outdoor setting, they blow in the breeze and reflect sunlight to draw attention. They are available in a range of colors and tile shapes.

Visen

One of Lamar’s newest display enhancements, VISEN is a day-to-night backlit static billboard that allows advertisers to display a dramatically different image at night from the one shown during the day. Offered for posters and bulletins, a VISEN billboard can typically be designed, proofed and printed within 2 weeks. VISEN is transferable from one bulletin location to another and attaches to a standard bulletin structure in 4 hours.

3D Props

Foam or Inflatable 3D props allow billboard creative to stand out and capture even more attention. Foam props are milled into custom shapes from foam blocks up to 4 feet wide and 8 feet tall and applied to the billboard with weather resistant finishing applied. Inflatable props are created using a durable vinyl material that is lightweight, cost-effective and easy to transport. Inflatable props are securely mounted to inventory structures with an electric pump that circulates air to keep it fully inflated. Inflatable props can cost up to 75% less than the same item made from foam or fiberglass.

Lighting

LED lighting selectively outlines a part of a design or traces letters to produce an eye-catching glow after dark. LED modules are available in a variety of colors and can achieve the effort of neon lighting in a much more cost-effective and durable way. LED lighting can be applied to bulletin and poster inventory in most markets and is available in red, green, blue, white and RGB. Lighting can be programmed to turn on and off at certain times of the day.

Smoke Machines

A smoke machine adds a touch of the unexpected to any billboard advertisement. Securely mounted to the back of the structure, smoke machines release a cloud of smoke at certain programmed intervals. Fog and smoke effects are more effective on clear and cloudless days, so advertisers should consider their local climate and take into account the months during which the campaign will run before deciding to implement a smoke machine effect.

Pole Wraps

Pole wrapping is a creative way to incorporate the support pole of the billboard structure into the overall design, creating a “wow” moment for viewers. Wraps can be made from either adhesive vinyl applied directly to the pole or traditional vinyl that is laced up the back of the pole. Pole wraps can typically be applied to most poster and bulletin structures where the poll is exposed.

Backlit Cans

Backlit cans internally illuminate individual letters, shapes and logos at night in a variety of color combinations using LED modules and printed color adhered to the acrylic. These display enhancements are made of 5 inch deep metal outer shells with acrylic faces and are ideal for long term installations. Lighting can be programmed to turn on and off at certain times of the day.
