As the future of Daylight Savings comes before the Missouri House, Lamar Advertising Keeps Missourians Engaged and Informed with its Digital Out-of-Home Network
Baton Rouge, LA – April 21, 2015 – Lamar Advertising Company’s local offices in Missouri have teamed up to poll Missourians regarding the biannual clock changes that come with the Daylight Savings Time system. Using the dynamic capabilities of its digital network, Lamar is displaying results from the poll on digital billboards
around the state, as the Missouri House of Representatives is poised to discuss a proposal to make Daylight Savings Time permanent.
The referendum, proposed by State Rep. Mike Kelly, to eliminate the clock changes in March and November and set Missouri clocks on Eastern Standard Time year round would amend the Missouri Constitution, if approved by the House. Just a month ago, Missourians across the state changed their clocks for “spring forward,” losing an hour of sleep in the process. Proponents of the referendum point to the inconvenience of changing clocks and the more serious implications of forgetting to do so.
Through an online poll posted on Lamar’s Missouri Facebook pages, Lamar asks people whether or not they support the proposal to eliminate Daylight Savings Time clock changes. Each day, Lamar displays the updated poll results on its digital billboards in Missouri.

The votes tallied on Lamar Advertising Company’s digital billboard on the northbound side of Interstate 435 in Jackson County Market, outside Kansas City.
Lamar Advertising Company has seven local offices serving Missouri, and the campaign is running through the end of April on digital billboards in the following markets: Kansas City, St. Joseph, Joplin, Hannibal, St. Louis, Osage Beach, Lake of the Ozarks, Springfield, and West Quincy.
