Take a look at your estimated sales for the next year to determine you starting annual budget. Then take a look at which of the next 12 months will require different advertising needs: do you have any seasonal promotions, major sales or upcoming events that you'll need to advertise? Break up your advertising needs into a monthly or quarterly schedule and then break up your budget accordingly.

If you are opening a new store or launching a new product, you may want to consider increasing your number of advertisements at the beginning of your campaign.
